Jeff is the owner and winemaker of Covenant Wines, a boutique urban winery in Berkeley,
California making small-lot fine wines from California and Israel. Covenant wines are made
from exceptional vineyards that stretch from Napa Valley, Sonoma, Lake County and Lodi in
Northern California, to the Galilee and Golan Heights in Israel.

Not only is Jeff the owner/winemaker at Covenant; he is also a professional saxophonist,
cookbook writer (he has written 9 cookbooks!), instructor at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, and previous editor of Wine Spectator magazine.

In 2003, Jeff partnered with Leslie Rudd (famed in the Napa Valley) to found Covenant Wines.
These are fine wines that break the paradigm of kosher wine. In fact, the Covenant wines have been highly praised by Robert Parker, Jr. who called them “the finest kosher wines on Planet Earth,” and by Jancis Robinson who stated that Jeff has made “the best kosher wine I have ever tasted.”
